Just out of the starting blocks and already at Dutch Design Week 2022! During the exhibition “No Space for Waste” of the design collective Isola, we introduced design-loving visitors to our first design collection.
With our exhibition we showed and let people experience that design objects made from waste, where the waste was still visible in the design, inspires to think about the value of materials and encourages them to use waste more economically. For this we had placed 4 perspex columns containing 4 commissioned design objects and in the column the waste material from which the object was made.

Thanks in part to conversations with young and older visitors to Dutch Design Week, with designers and other exhibitors, we have become even more convinced of our mission: showing people the value of waste through making waste visible in design. In fact, for many designers it even turned out to be a new insight that it is important to make waste visible in the materials and object we create from them.

Our experience after this great week in which we had the opportunity to speak to so many different people, is that WasteCraft not only makes beautiful design products, but also contributes to the international design community with her approach. We were already excited about what we made, now we’re even more excited about our role in making the world even more sustainable and beautiful.
